For me LegalShield is all about options. Working 40 hours a week for the next 40 years of my life just wasn’t appealing to me.

Though I had been to college, I wasn’t interested in the traditional good paying job with benefits. I wanted to own my own business and be in control of my own destiny. In the early 1990s, a few friends of mine jumped into the cellular phone business, and before long I opened my own store with a couple of business partners. We quickly found out that running a sales force with a retail location wasn’t so easy, and at the end of the day the business only brought me more work, more hours, and less freedom.

My other project was managing my brothers’ band, Puddle of Mudd, producing albums and promoting shows. In 1996, Puddle of Mudd’s major-label debut would sell over 5,000,000 copies, but until then we weren’t making any money.

Timing is everything, and at the time my mother was looking for a business opportunity to supplement the income she was losing as a mortgage consultant. She was contacted by an old high school friend, Ross Chantrel, who introduced her to the LegalShield membership and opportunity. She got involved in the business and then introduced it to me. Out of support for her, I became a member and shortly thereafter received a speeding ticket.

Though not entirely sure about the services, I contacted the law firm to test the membership. Not only did the service work, I didn’t have to go to court, had no points added to my license, and no increase to my insurance premiums.

With enthusiasm I shared the story with a few friends who also wanted to know how they could become members, and my mother signed up a handful of my friends. Unaware my mother had also registered me as an associate, I received a mysterious check for $193 in the mail and another check for $97 a few days later, and the rest is history.

In the beginning, I just wanted to make enough money that I didn’t have to get a job and work for someone else. I have accomplished that and so much more. Through consistent daily activity, commitment and a strong desire to succeed, my income continues to grow and so do my goals and dreams.

Today, my wife and I enjoy amazing financial opportunities. In 2018, I was awarded my first six-figure ring, and that same year, I was inducted into the Millionaire Club. My business has steady growth thanks to my great team members throughout the United States who are building their businesses and causing my business to grow as well.
